Here's an alpha version, if you're feeling brave: download here. Please read all the following before installing and using it.

  1. Back up your old settings files first. In theory you can go back to 2.1.x after using this version, but better safe than sorry.[/*:m]
  2. Some features have not yet been re-implemented in this version. There is no command line arguments, and no exporting of missing, renaming, etc. lists. This will be re-added by the time it's in beta, though.[/*:m]
  3. A bunch of stuff is new and quite a bit has been rearranged, so please keep an eye on the list of things that it says it'll do. I've been using this version for a while without problems, but I don't have a very big collection. You can remove stuff from the "To do" list by selecting it an pressing "Del", or unchecking it before hitting "Do Checked Items".[/*:m]
  4. The "Ignore" stuff isn't coded yet, so it'll do nothing. The idea is that (when done) ignoring something will mean that it'll never ask you about these things again.[/*:m]
  5. Being an alpha version, there are bound to be more bugs than usual in it, and there are still features I'm planning to add.[/*:m][/list:u]

The main changes in this version are:

    1. New "Scan" tab, which combines the old "renaming", "missing" and "finding and organising" tabs. Hit the "Options" button to select what it'll do when you hit "Scan". Set your uTorrent paths (application, and location of resume.dat) in the preferences for addditional uTorrent magic.[/*:m]
    2. Right-click on a missing show, and you can browse for it. Right click should always offer other relevant options for whatever you click on (or have selected).[/*:m]
    3. "Folder Monitor" is now on the "Tools" menu.[/*:m]
    4. New "uTorrent save to" option on the Tools menu, that will set your "Save To" locations for any torrents in uTorrent. Make sure you quit uTorrent when prompted to![/*:m]
    5. Folder thumbnail, episode thumbnail, and show+episode NFO (in XML format) files are generated and kept up to date. These should be compatible with XMBC's media library mode and XBMC companion.[/*:m]
    6. Fixed a few bugs from the 2.1.x release of TVRename[/*:m]
    7. Filename character replacements are now open-ended. You can replace entire words, too.[/*:m]
    8. /recover command line option (and automatic display when loading fails) for going back to earlier versions of settings and TheTVDB database caches.[/*:m]
    9. "Actors Grid" on the tools menu that shows actors who were in more than one show. (Needs some speed improvements, though, and may seem to hang often.)[/*:m][/list:u]

Post about any bugs you find in the "Bugs" forums, particularly if it was ok in 2.1.x, but not this version.
