TVRename stopped finding my shows

When I first started using TVRename, I added about 20 shows and it worked perfectly for a long time. About 5 months ago, it quit finding most of my shows when I scanned for new episodes. These are major network sitcoms that it had no trouble finding before. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didn't fix it. I also tried force refreshing the shows individually and that didn't work either. The only thing I haven't tried is uninstalling and wiping the data. I would greatly appreciate any help with this issue.

I'm starting to notice the same issue.

I'm seeing the same thing. I've tried wiping the cache and even tried renaming %appdata%\TVRename to start from scratch. With the new profile, I added a single show that I was having trouble with and the results were the same. This is what I'm seeing with American Dad, after adding Season 7.

- It detects seasons 3-5 just fine. If I sabotage the filenames, TVR corrects them.
- It does not detect/rename seasons 6 & 7. It thinks they are missing.
- It had renamed season 6 in the past, since I had changed my naming convention within the past month.
- I have .nfo files in Season 6, on the new profile with the default naming convention, it detects the .nfo files but not the .mp4's.

Since my media's in the network, I'm going to try detecting the new season from a different machine to see if I get different results. FWIW, I'm also seeing the same problem with Season 2 of Cleveland Show.

:? Well I feel like a dingbat...

My problem was the file extension, they were m4v. I just had to add that to the Video Extensions list in Preferences.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem. Is there a cache file that isn't being reset? Is there any caching between sessions at all?

Hi,

I have the same problem. Its as if there's a cache file being retained and not regenerated with a list of files it's found in it ... is there anything that can or needs to be reset?
