First off i must say that your application is the first i have found that seems to fit my need, thank you for that.

But i have a little problem:
The program doesn't find all files in the Renaming tab. But it does Find all Files in the Filename Processing Tester.

Is this a known problem?

If you want any further Informations, screenshots, ... feel free to talk to me directly on ICQ: 73386878
I don't want to share additional Information on a public board ;)

Greetings apocalip

The program doesn't find all files in the Renaming tab

The app only displays the files that have to be renamed, not all files if that is what you were expecting.

Have you se up all your shows in the My Shows tab? Do you get entries in the Missing tab?

the files that don't show up definitely need to be renamed and they are showing up in the missing tab

they are showing up in the missing tab
Right, so the app can't recognise them. Is that show set up correctly? Are all episodes for that show/season in the missing tab, or just some?

In the My Shows tab if you highlight one of these shows you can right-click and you will get a list of actions as well as the directory(s) that it is pointing to. If it is just a particular season that is missing, then maybe that season is in a different folder setup that the app is not recognising.

If it is individual episodes in that folder that are not being picked up, the filename processor is not deciphering those files.

I had a similar problem, but it was not the app that malfunctioned.

i had some shows named..

101 - title one
102 - title two
...

Of course the app cant figure out what show it is... so i simply added the show name in front like this..

ShowName - 101 - title one
ShowName - 102 - title two
...

And viola it found them all...

So could you please provide the names of the files that was not recognized... :)

If the show is in it's folder in your media library, then it shouldn't need the name in the filename. TVRename assumes it is the show, and then just tries to find the episode and season number. The show name is important when finding&organising is trying to pick it up.

It can be a bit fussy sometimes, and can get confused if the show name has (or is) a number, e.g. "24".

apocalip: If you could PM or email me the exact filename of one or two files that it isn't offering to rename, and (if it isn't obivous) what the name of the series is. I'll see if I can figure out why it's not working. Also, go to Help->Bug Report, turn on just the "Folder Scan" checkbox and hit "Create". PM or email the output to me: tvrename [at] tvrename.com - that should provide a few clues as well.
