Episode 0 and Adding Season Rules

I am trying to merge 16 and 17 of the 5th season of lost since they are one file. This has successfully worked for several other shows, but season 5 of Lost has an episode 0 with no name (ex: "Lost - S05E00 -"). When adding any rule to the season episode zero becomes labeled "Lost - S05E01 -" and the season's last episode goes from 17 to 18. I believe the bug is a result from having a episode 0 in the season. I have tried ignoring and removing episode 0 but that results in the same renumbering of the season, but instead the newly labeled episode 1 (which is the episode 0 file) gets removed.

This isn't a huge deal, but I can't find a workaround.

Thanks.

What version of TVRename are you using? This was fixed some time ago.

I have 2.1.0, and I have yet to figure out a work around.

It seems the Episode Zero bug has returned, reading numerous posts.
The easiest solution that I can see is to remove it from the source. I had a look at the episode you are referring to on THETVDB where we get the data from. This episode is a "special" as most episode zeros usually are. If you look at the Specials season you will see that the episode is duplicated there as well. Sign up for the forums on thetvdb and ask for the episode zero to be removed as a duplicate.

This can easily be solved by doing the following:

1) Add a new rule, and select "Remove", and enter "0" as "From/Number", and "0" as "To". Press "OK".
2) Add a new rule, and select "Merge", and enter "16" as "From", and "17" as "To". Leave "New Name" blank. Press "OK".

I think that bug was fixed in one of the 2.1.1 alphas. Go to the releases section and grab the 2.1.1a6 release. In spite of being an alpha, it should be safe to use :)

You have to remove episode 0 to 1 for this to work...

Those are the only two rules I have, and it works.
