I use the names for the seasons as "Season 01" etc
Now, I was able to replace the string in the xml file for <SeasonFolderName>Season 0</SeasonFolderName> as a quick and dirty solution.
this although poses a problem with shows having more than 9 seasons because it asks to create Season 010 instead of Season 10.

Something to think of... Thanks for the new release.

I just came across the same problem. Would definitely like to see tvrename recognise 01 as a number. I only use 01, 02 folder naming on shows which have 10 seasons or more so it's not a major problem

As things are seasons 1-9 are not seen as valid folders and I am asked to create them. If i rename to season 1, 2 etc things get messy when browsing the folders through explorer.

Have a look at alpha 3. I've added a preference for "Leading on season number". Turn this on, and it should work the way you want. Download link is here.
