Odd behaviour when monitoring mirrored collection

I have 2 repositories for storing my TV shows. Essentially, the 2nd repository is a mirror of the master for back up purposes. The files in each are 100% identical.
I have been running TVRename very successfully with the first repository, but since I have introduced the 2nd I am having problems.

I have configured TVRename to monitor both repositories as follows:
Z:\Video\TV Series (Master repository)
N:\Video\TV Series (Mirror repository)

Drive Z is a local USB HDD connected to the machine running TVRename and drive N is an Network Media Tank (NMT) connected to my wireless LAN.
When I click Check on the Monitor page, I see a number of shows located on drive Z that TVRename has previously known about (therefore they should not reappear) and only a few shows located on drive N (it should detect more but misses them).
If I add a new episode to drive Z, TVRename does not detect it when I perform a Scan. However, if I remove drive N from my list of monitored folders, the new episode is detected.
So I guess that TVRename does not like having duplicate shows on multiple folders that are monitored.

If I remove drive N from my list of monitored folders TVRename returns to normal behaviour.

I hope my explanation makes sense.

Thank you so much for an outstanding application.

It seems like the behavior of the application is not to find a home for all the shows in your "Unsorted" folder, but rather to examine your library and figure out which shows are missing, and then go find them. It's subtle, but I think it explains what you're seeing. If your first drive is plugged in, then TVR finds the show in your library and doesn't bother checking for in your monitored folder - even though there's a copy there that needs to be moved, it won't move it because it doesn't see that you're missing anything.

Does that make sense? Maybe a tool like SyncBack, which built for keeping two folders in sync (or mirroring changes from one to the other) might suit your purposes better for the backup. Then you could use TVR to sort your shows in the primary library, and syncback to replicate those changes to your backup library.
