**** Note mediascout is not compatible with tvrename in way they rename so beware. It only uses - to replace special chars and it does not handle the 0 zero in front of folders seasons the same and will make a mess if you use with tvrenamed folders. (needless to say I found out the hard way. took a few hours to clean up the mess.)

Hey I found a program that seems to make metadata and rename the way we need tvrename to work it is called
MediaScout it is open source and still a bit buggy but I like some of how it works.

If you uncheck the autorename on movie and tv it will stop and ask you. If it finds things it does not know it will pop up a box asking you to select from what it thinks may be it also it will let you type in a different spelling.

Another nice thing it does it create logs and error logs of what happens.

this and the file putting away and show acqusition part of tvrename would be nice together. The only problem is it runs slower than tvrename for all the pictures it gathers and such.

Another program that seems to work but does not seem to stop and ask for things it does not know is
Media Center Master
this program seems to work but is constantly scanning and does not have a choice to scan when you want. It does seem to make the meta data ok. But it has a problem renaming things some times. so i disable its renaming. is some ways i sort of like the way it presents its browse of the shows on hand. It does not seem to have a way to add single shows.

Web browsing your media can be done with MovieJukebox it is command line based and tiny bit hard to set up but makes impressive web pages for video selecting. Seemed like it might be nice for usb drives.
