Little Issue

Ben 10 does not rename properly. Silly me renamed the files correctly in one version but now it thinks there are better names for each file... all files use the 10 from the show name and not the series and episode numbers.

I have one other problem but I can't replicate it.
I am going though and filling gaps in my collection. Sometimes when I find the missing files and put them in the Find and Move folder the program does not find them. When I rename and move the files manually the program updates as expected.

The "Ben 10" problem is most likely due to one of the filename processors you have seeing the 10 as the season number. If you have the latest alpha, you can try disabling them one-by-one to see which one it is causing the problem (Options->Filename Processors) - and then leave it turned off. Otherwise, let me know the exact filename of one it is getting wrong, and I should be able to figure out which one it is to remove/disable. Having said that, its supposed to be smart and remove numbers from the show name from the filename, before trying to extract the season and episode numbers.

Finding&Organising won't pick up files if any of the following are true: (a) The show name isn't in the filename, (b) it isn't listed as a result of doing a missing check, (c) it can't find the season+episode number in the filename.

I think (a) can happen if there is a extra stuff in the show name but isn't in the filenames you have on disk. For example, extra words or a year. If you've overridden the show name with something else, this might happen too. (The latter is something on my list to look at / check for bugs)

(b) can happen if the episode hasn't aired yet, either because it has no airdate or is in the future. You can override this by editing the show and turning on "missing check for all episodes"

(c) can happen if the filenames are "weird", and/or the filename processor is getting confused. If you go to Help->Bug Report, turn on "F&O Scan", and skim through the output on the right and see what it thinks the files are.

Hope that helps you. If not, let me know some exact filenames, and I should be able to help further.

Thanks sstteevvee,

Your program is fantastic and has been a great tool for sorting my growing collection. I should have said in my first post.

There were a LOT of files I was sorting yesterday and I can't remember which once were giving me trouble.
I can tell you my files are in this format {ShowName} - {Season:2}x{Episode}[-{Season}x{Episode2}] - {EpisodeName} ie The Simpsons - 20x07 - Mypods and Boomsticks.

From memory there was one version of your program that named Ben 10 correctly. And now I've just turned every filename processors off and on and it picked up every episode as it should... a little confused but happy :)

Good to hear its working now :) Every few versions I have to fix something in the code that looks for seasons and episode numbers, and in fixing that one thing I inevitably break something else! Let me know if it starts misbehaving again, though.
