This looks like its more show specific but problem is possibly on tv.com's side.
have the following three episodes, which is shown as aired on tv.com, but tv-rename doesnt pick them up. They also dont show up under the episode guide. I am rather sure they are not specials....

tv.com only has 22 episodes listed for season 3, which is why its ignoring those three.
It looks like "Sons and Lovers" is listed as a single episode on tv.com, but was aired in two parts (and this is probably the case with two other episodes earlier in that season to end up with three extras in total).
To fix this, I can easily add to TVRename an option to make one tv.com episode be seen as two (or more) episodes on disk (and bumping the number of all the higher episodes up too).
e.g. tv.com says:
E01 - Episode 1
E02 - Episode 2 (two parter)
E03 - Episode 3
But if you tell it to split "Episode 2" into 2, but then tvrename would names them as:
E01 - Episode 1
E02 - Episode 2 (Part 1)
E03 - Episode 2 (Part 2)
E04 - Episode 3
You'll also probably find that the names its given your files at this point are out of sync with what the episodes are, due to this as well. When I put the feature mentioned here in, it'll rename them properly (since it doesn't change the season or episode number, so it can undo its mistake
).

You have it spot on. Two double eps on tv.com, but i have them as single eps on disc. Will probably be able to sort it out with a rule or two, but too lazy now.
Just added them to the ignore list for now.

Actually, yeah.. If you use a rule to add/remove an extra episode for each of the doubles, that'd sort it out. I'll still do the splitting thing, since it'd simplify other things in the long run.
