"Check Torrent Queue"

When using the "Check Torrent Queue" for Missing Files option I am encountering errors. After checking the box and hitting SCAN I recieve an error for each running file in uTorrent. It says that TV Rename cannot find the torrent file. I believe this is because it is looking in the wrong directory. My uTorrent settings in TV Rename are set up correctly; i.e. it points to the right executable and resume.dat paths.

TV Rename should be looking for .torrent files in the same directory as the resume.dat but instead it is looking for them in /Program Files/TV Rename/ . As a temporary dirty fix I have setup my uTorrent program to save the .torrent files in the TV Rename Program Files folder.

Anyone else encountered this? Or is there somewhere to set where TV Rename searches for the .torrent files? I couldn't find it in options or the xml files.

same issue

also found that the .torrent it's looking for doesnt match what's en-queued... still working on it, reckon theres more to it and that I'm doing something wrong, unfort the documentation is a touch vague in this area

Can you please send me a copy of your resume.dat file (to tvrename[at]tvrename.com), and tell me the name of one of the torrents that TVRename is looking in the wrong place for.

In my uTorrent set up, I have the "Store .torrents in" option set to a specific folder (i.e. not the same folder as resume.dat), and that folder is specifically mentioned for every .torrent in the resume.dat file. In your normal setup, do you have that option turned off?

Another thing to be aware of is that uTorrent only writes out the resume.dat file every 30 seconds, or something like that. This means that if you add a torrent, it can be a while until TVRename will notice.

wossack: If you're still having trouble with it, can you give me a specific example of what you mean by it not maching what's enqueued?

Just for reference, my settings in TVRename for uTorrent are:

Application: c:\Program Files\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe
resume.dat path: C:\Documents and Settings\Steve\Application Data\uTorrent\resume.dat

When it is working correctly, after doing a Scan a file won't show up as "Missing" if TVRename is able to match it to a running (not stopped, and not set to skip) download in uTorrent. In this case, the missing item will be off in a separate "Downloading" section.

This has never worked for me either. On reading your post, I tried explicitly setting in uTorrent where the torrents should be stored but it still didn't work, insisting on checking c:\Program Files\TVRename rather than the location set in uTorrent.

This is pretty much a show-stopper for unattended (command-line) operation.

(Similarly, and as an aside, ANY dialogue box that is created when run from the command line halts the process until the user checks to see what's what, including the Missing Folder box if a new season is added to thetvdb. Perhaps things run from the the command line should not throw up UI dialogue boxes but have the option to select a default behavior?)
