If you try to merge an episode 0, say episodes 0-2 with other episodes TV Rename reinterprets the rule as being a merge of episodes 1-3 and shifts any other rule up by 1 (ie a rule merging episodes 3-5 renames the file as E04E05E06)
It's not a big deal as I've only found one show where it's an issue but figured it's worth mentioning anyway.

I also have this bug. Merging episodes 1 and 2. It actually merges episodes 1-3.

Let me know the show (name and TheTVDB ID code) and season that has this problem, and I'll have a look at it.

I've got underbelly season 3, merging 1-2 working fine here (and has been for the past few weeks:)).
Are you using a recent version of TVRename (2.2.0b3 or b4)?
As a long shot, try a right-click on Underbelly, and "Force Refresh".
Can you please email (tvrename [at] tvrename.com) or PM me your TVRenameSettings.xml file (Help > Bug Report > Turn on just "Settings files", then hit Create. ). I can then try your settings and see if it misbehaves for me.

For me, the episode 0 thing affects Fantasy Island Season 1.
