Development on hiatus?

I was just wondering if I missed any announcements re: development; did the TVRename developers decide to take a break over the summer, or for some other amount of time? I'd been following the GoogleCode changelog with heavy interest; always checking to see if specific bugs had been addressed with each "commit." I'm looking forward to the day that the DVD-order bug is corrected :)

But there hasn't been a new code-commit for about a month. I was checking in to see if TVRename is still being actively developed? Has there been any word lately? That's fine if the developers need a break; I just can't find any news to that effect anywhere...

Nope. So far as I know, the only active developer is Sstteevvee. and he works on TV Rename whenever he has the time to do it. TV Rename is always under active development but just how active depends on how much time he has to work on it at any particular point in time. And that's not always something that can be predicted or announced.

He has been asking other developers to contribute for a long time in the hopes that things can move along at a more steady pace with a bit of help from others. He even recently changed the language he codes TVRename in to help get other coders involved but so far it doesn't seem he's gotten much of a response from other coders as of yet.

I'm a developer myself; I'd be more than happy to contribute to the project with my (VERY) meager amount of available time. Plus, what's not to love about C#!?

Here's the thread about the conversion and such that popped up last time Steve had to go MIA for awhile.

Hopefully Steve can get around to adding a Developer subforum as suggested in that thread to help devs bounce stuff around and get more involved.

I've started to have a play around the code as well.

As the code was run through a c++ -> c# converter some of it is a bit weird in how it's come out from the tool.

Have run most of the code through resharper's code cleanup and recommitted it.

Have also had a play around making a visual season grid (similar to the actors grid), which will hopefully give people a better understanding of what's missing and what's complete.

Unfortunately have 2 paid projects on the go as well as my day job so haven't had too much of a chance to get back into this.

Once some time is spare though, I will def jump back into it and add a few features (ie. the ones i want).

Very nice!!
Good to see someone with skills stepping up and getting involved.
Wish I could do the same but my programming skills stopped with Pascal on an Apple IIe about 20 years ago :)
