Have you tried doing a "Force Refresh"? > from the MyShows tab, right-click on the show that crashes the scan and select "Force Refresh". Do this before the background scan/update.

Works most of the time with an incorrect TVDB download.

Hope this helps.

Had the same problem this morning and the force refresh didn't fix it; but i noticed it was always crashing on Futurama so deleted it from the list did the scan and it worked fine then re-added Futurama and the scan still works now

I am having the same problem. Deleted futurama and it works fine. Added back and it crashes. Had the same prob a while back with Son of the Beach.

Interesting. I'm having the same issue with Futurama - it started yesterday. I flushed my cache, but I hadn't deleted Futurama yet... so I guess that's my next step.

Note: The Futurama crash started immediately after someone added a Season 7 on thetvdb.com and then it was downloaded. I was prompted to create Season 7 by tvrename, but when I went to the site, it was already gone.

yeah mine is crashing again today with Futurama addded

edit

delete again then re-added did a force refresh on Futurama then a scan just on Futurama then a full scan seems to have fixed it for now.

It looks repetitious. It worked for a day when I deleted/readded Futurama, then it started again.

Yep. having the same issue with Futurama and Alias Smith and Jones. I finally had time to look at the data from theTVDB for them while they are crashing but I couldn't find anything wrong with it.

Must be another show, as have flushed cache, rebuilt XML and still crashing for me too. Have tried removing Futurama, and then full scan and still having issues.

The problem is I can see which series is causing the problem, as cuts out half way through scan.

Almost last resort time of deleting shows one by one.....

I removed futurama and then added it again. While it was downloading the tv show information I canceled the process and after that I did a "Force refresh". Since then everything is working fine.

Futurama caused this problem for me when the new season started. I deleted the show, readded it, and it worked fine. Now the problem has cropped back up again. Anybody figured out whats causing this problem yet?

I'm crashing on either Modern Family or NCIS overview now. If I delete Modern Family it'll just crash on NCIS, if I delete NCIS it'll crash on Secret Diary of a Call Girl - so I'm starting to think it's more related to how long the process has gone on, or the show following those two.

I've deleted shows and more now, no luck in getting around this bug.

Try doing force refresh on the show (as opposed to deleting it).

Or if its on many shows i think there is a clear data/clear cache/refresh all menu option.

I'm at work so cant remember the exact name of it.
