Log of Renamed Files, OR Enable Selected File Renaming Only

I just ran TVRename after a couple weeks of neglect and a number of shows had been edited on TVDB (at least this is what I assume as my once perfectly labeled collection was telling me I had misnamed stuff again). I had forgotten that TVRename renames all files no matter what you have selected, so with one file highlighted that I wanted to clear out of the queue I hit rename and everything else got mislabeled. Now, since I don't have a photographic memory I get to go through all the series I can remember and play them to verify if the shows and the labels are correct.

Two things that would have saved me. One, would be to have the rename function like I thought it would. IE. Only rename episodes that you have selected (ctrl-a to select them all, no convenience is lost). Two, have TVRename create a log file of all renamed files. Whether it's the file's name before or after, anything so long as it had the episode number would be awesome.

I hope one of these is feasible {or already enabled :D)!

If you upgrade to 2.2a4, you'll see that this is basically accomplished. All actions have a checkbox next to them, and you de/select what you want done.

or if you are using the old version, you simply delete (select the action/multiple actions and press the delete button on your keyboard) what you don't want to do.

In the latest 2.2.0 (alpha) version, you can also select a number of items in the Scan list, then right click and choose "Action Selected". Or, as signe suggests, tick just the ones you want then hit "Do Checked".

I'm hoping to have the 2.2.0 version finished to "beta" quality within a couple of weeks, but if this is really bugging you then its safe enough to use now. Just back up your settings files first.
