I like to have my TV shows with the format SSxEE (01x05 for season 1 episode 5 for instance), but I like my anime to be sequentially numbered. I'm sure some people would like to be able to do similar things, so my suggestion is to implement the ability to have multiple templates; or profiles if you will. So you would be able to have several profiles—each with their own naming templates—and you could chose which one the specific tv show would use. Or if it would make it easier, to simple be able to have a field where you could put a custom naming template in the show properties (it would use the default one if it was left blank or something though).
At the moment I'm just running two installations of TV Rename (one for each naming template), but it would be simpler to have it all in one.
EDIT: I just finished setting up the sequential installation, and I just realised that it doesn't support recognising sequential filenames yet anyway.
