BitMeTV / uTorrent integration

I'm not sure how / where this should be incorporated, but it would be nice if somehow the BitMeTV RSS feed was automagically monitored so that new eppisodes of my subscribed shows are automatically downloaded when they are released.

For bonus points, TV rename could tweak the torrent file before having uTorrent start the download so that it is saved with the readable filename (and in the correct show+season directory).

Watching RSS feed(s) is on my list. utorrent has a built-in RSS auto-downloader, I think. Doing the tweak for adjusting the save-to location should be possible (based on my previous investigations into uTorrent). Auto-download (by Windows' registered .torrent handler) would be possible, too.

Since someone other than me is interested in it, I'll bump this up my priority list!

I'm using uTorrent with RSS from http://www.eztv.it downloading the files to the importfolder for tvrename, then i manually import it with tv-rename.
Then I'm using MediaPortal with the tv-series plugin witch i think is the by far best way of viewing tvseries..

The only thing thats left for me for an fully automated downloadsystem is tvrename's import & move/copy functions. so if tvrename could poll that folder for updated files and automatically import them, it would be great.. :)

And thanks for a great software! :) :)

Its always good to hear that its working well for other people! I'm going to eventually give the user the option to make the "missing check" and the move/copy stuff completely automatic (as you suggest). The only catch is to not move files while they're still being seeded.. unless you have uTorrent move them to a different folder when its completely done with them.

I'm planning to TVRename download RSS feeds from places like eztv, download the torrent file for episodes you are missing, add a little bit of info to it to tell uTorrent where to save the download, and then pass it onto uTorrent. That way, the move/copy step can be skipped altogether.

Maybe you should just make a master server with a bucketload of bandwidth that you keep the multiple TB's of TV on for everyone to download then you can integrate your program direct with that  Stupid piracy laws and shit would force you offline though :(

uTorrent integration sounds interesting though im keen to see how it works out.
