As you probably noticed.. TVRename wasn't been working for the past few days, but it seems to be all back and OK now. There was a bit of trouble in the datacenter/rack where thetvdb is housed (that's the 3rd party data source that TVRename uses), and it took a few days to get things sorted out again. It then wasn't until the last few hours that the API (that TVRename uses) stuff got sorted out. Everything should be back and going again now, though.
There's a bit about it on the thetvdb forums, you can read here and here if you're interested. You can also have a look at the "Series waiting for update" number here, which is slowly dropping.
If you're having problems with out-of-date series in TVRename you can try, or order of increasing overkill: (1) Quit and restart TVRename, then hit "refresh" (2) right-click on the show in "My Shows" and hit "Force Refresh", (3) choose Tools->Flush Cache to re-download everything. If you have problems like the connection to thetvdb timing out, just give it a bit of time to come right. They've moved servers and changed IPs, so there may be cached DNS entries and you just have to wait (im)patiently for them to time out.
If you're still having problems, post back to this thread and I'll come out of hiding to have a look. If relevant, make sure to let me know the show name and/or the show ID number that's the problem.
