Hi all

I have just began using TVrename, its very helpful.

At the moment im trying to change the file names of 'House'. The program found its code online without issue but for some reason when I scanned the show I had to tell it where each season folder was. Then under the scan tab it shows im missing every episode from the series. SO it looks like its not seeing the episode files in the folders I pointed to. The only way I can see to solve that is to right click each episode and select 'browse for' but this takes ages.

Am I doing something wrong?

The reason I wanted to rename them was because XBMC didn't show them in library mode, which im told can be due to their file name. Seems odd as they are quite simply named with a number and episode title.

Any help would be much appreiciated.

Thanks.

do you have each episode in its own folder? Sounds like it from your description. The standard setup would be some derivative of this -

ShowName -
Season 1 -
ShowName S01E01 - Episodename.fileextension
ShowName S01E02 - Episodename.fileextension
ShowName S01E03 - Episodename.fileextension
Season 2 -
ShowName S02E01 - Episodename.fileextension
ShowName S02E02 - Episodename.fileextension
ShowName S02E03 - Episodename.fileextension

If you configure the show location to be the top level and you also have configured to have season folders everything should be found. Alternatively you can get all your files and put them in your search folder, then get TVRename to rename and move them to the correct location.
