Browse for show copies file instead of rename

Hi, new user, still finding my way around.

I have a season full of episodes, but TVR does not recognize them.
The shows are named root\foo\season 1\foo.ep1.bar.ext
Note that there no season identifier, and TVR does not recognize the shows.

I right click on the missing item, and select browse for show, and select the correct file, that is already in the correct folder.

When I "do checked", the files are copied, and not renamed.
I cannot select the "rename" option.

How do I just rename the files instead of copying them?

Do you have your show edited so that it has an Automatic Folder (Add/Edit Show, Basics tab, and a couple of check boxes)?
You will want to have the Base Folder exactly matching your files location, and have the Folders per Season sub parameter also matching.

Using your example: your Base Folder should be
c:\root\foo
and your Folder per season box checked, and showing the base name as "Season", with the Pad Seasons box unchecked.

Then make sure your Naming template (from Options, Filename template editor) has the format
{ShowName}.{Episode}.{EpisodeName}
I think that this will do it.
The Naming Template format matching what you use as a format, plus having the Base directory plus per season folder should help TVr recognize the season number as well as the episode number.

If it's properly recognized, then the rename process will also move the files to the above base dir.

Hope this helps!
